Gladys and Lewis were married for 30 years before his death in 1970. They lived their entire married life on the old Dagg homestead. Gladys was a wonderful wife and mother who provided for her children. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards with her friends and loved to travel. She also loved going to Miller Outdoor Theater, plays, Walmart and H.E.B. Gladys just loved “to go”. Gladys enjoyed gardening and had an amazing green thumb where plants and flowers thrived under her care. Gladys was an active quilter at the Pearland Knapp Senior Center. She enjoyed good health most of her life and even when her health began to decline she never let it slow her down. Gladys took an Alaska cruise with her daughters when she was 92. Gladys was a member of Southway Community Church, formerly Minnetex Community Church since 1950. She had a strong faith and attended church every Sunday and was still attending as recently as October 30 of this year. Gladys loved her family dearly and always took them to church as they were growing up. Her children and grandchildren have a strong foundation in their Christian beliefs as a result of her influence.
