Obituary of Suzanne Oakley

Suzanne Oakley passed away July 24, 2008 surrounded by loved ones. Suzanne was a long-time resident of the Houston area. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Boley and Elizabeth Thomas. She is survived by her children: Jennifer Garrison and her husband Glenn; Michael Paris; Brian Paris; Nathan Paris; David Paris; Rebecca Orr and her husband Lance; Her siblings: Betty Joyce Wyatt and her husband Joe; Jackie Fenton and her husband Wayne; Samuel Thomas and his wife Lois; Teresa Bright and her husband Alan; and Boley Tyrone Thomas and his wife Louise; as well as six grandchildren: Michael, Sean, Richard, Eric, Keira and Luke. Suzanne was born in Houston, Texas on June 20, 1952. Those who knew her seldom saw her without a smile on her face. She loved spending time with friends and family and valued them above all else. She enjoyed dancing and had a great love of the outdoors. She worked at Weatherford for the last seven years, and at Inspectorate for 11 years prior. She said, “I was lucky enough to work with really fine people and made many good, life-long friends.” A viewing will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 3311 Southfork Drive in Pearland, Texas on Saturday, July 26, 2008 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed immediately by the funeral service. Interment will take place on Monday afternoon at 3:30 pm at the Huntington City Cemetery, Huntington, Texas.
