Obituary of Verna Cornilla Horrigan

Verna Cornilla Horrigan, 50, passed away on February 21, 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents, Augustine and Katherine Coelho. Verna is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Neil Horrigan; son, Brice Michael Horrigan; daughters, Katie Crystelle and Colleen Reneé Horrigan; sister, Bunny Kelly; dearest friend, Virginia Abrego; and a host of other family and friends. Verna was a loving and devoted wife and mother that cherished her family and the Lord. She had a servant’s heart and was a very active volunteer at her church; fixing food for families in need. Verna never met a stranger and was always happy to share her strong faith with those she met. She was the cook for the family and all of her friends. She enjoyed going to estate sales, treasure hunting, traveling through the Hill Country and finding the best bar-b-que. Verna will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A visitation for Verna will be held on Friday evening, February 24, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Crosspoint Church, 1134 Old Alvin Rd, Pearland, TX 77581 with Pastor Tom Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
