Terry Crawford White, 62, passed away on March 27, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bunyan and Missouri White; wife, Wanda White and brother, Richard White. Terry is survived by his sons, Daniel Hall and wife, Gela, Bryan White and wife, Ashley; daughters, Lynn Bullard and Audrey Etheridge; eight grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Terry was born in South Carolina, but grew up on the move because his dad was in the military. Later, he joined the Navy and served proudly. After being discharged, he moved around a little bit, but eventually settled in North Carolina, where he met my mother and started a family. Terry had many friends and family in North Carolina that he loved spending time with, and he really enjoyed our family gatherings. He also loved the beach and loved spending time with my mom and the family at the beach house in Holden Beach. Eventually he had an offer to come and work in Texas at Powell and didn’t hesitate because he knew that it would be the best choice for our family. That was Terry, he always looked out for the family first, and didn’t mind going without, so that they were all taken care of. In Texas, Terry loved working at Powell, and a lot of that joy was due to his co-workers, who he loved being around and enjoyed working with. He had an impeccable work ethic, which he instilled in his entire family. He had a lot of friends, both in and outside of work, but his best friend was his wife. They truly were soul mates and loved every moment that they were able to spend with each other. They set the bar incredibly high for what a marriage should be, and he was an amazing example of what a father and husband should be. Terry was an incredible family man, and never hesitated to tell all of us how proud he was and how much he loved us. Terry had this great way of making everyone laugh when he was around, sometimes through a little playful teasing. He had a great sense of humor, and was a constant entertainer. He loved oldies music, movies, and classic cars, but loved spending time with my mom more than anything in the world. Terry was an amazing father, grandfather, husband, friend, and confidant. He was an amazing person, who touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. The family will be receiving friends beginning at 5:00 pm on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. A Memorial Service for Terry will follow beginning at 6:00 pm, with Pastor Tom Allen of Crosspoint Church officiating. A Memorial Service will also be held in Fayetteville, North Carolina at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home on Monday, April 2, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
