Obituary of Joseph Daniel Brashier

Joseph Daniel Brashier, age 72, of Katy, Texas, passed away after a long illness on July 2, 2009. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin & Ava (Daniel) Brashier, and loving wife of 48 years, Vivian. He is survived by his son, Roy Brashier; daughters, Diane Brashier Honzell, Brenda Brashier Galvan & her husband Armando, and Mary Brashier Sucher & her husband Joe; brothers, Ben Brashier & his wife Marge and Bill Brashier & his wife Johnnie; ten grandchildren and one honorary grandson. Joe was born on February 8, 1937 in Santa Rosa, Texas, the youngest of nine children. He was a business owner and rancher for most of his life and was also a heavy equipment contractor who could operate and fix just about any piece of machinery. Joe and Vivian had a wonderful marriage and life together for 48 1/2 years. He loved his family and all of his grandchildren and inspired them with his patience and wisdom. Joe was a softspoken man who strived to be a wonderful husband, brother, Dad, uncle, and Granddaddy. Visitation for Joe will be on Monday, July 6, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home. The Funeral Service is on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 10:00 am in the Clayton Chapel. Pastor Mark Poe will be officiating. Interment will immediately follow at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
