Butch,
Thank you for taking such good care of mom. You came into our lives when she needed a good man. Thank you for all you taught me and all the laughs and good times we shared. I hope heaven has a really nice yard and a great pool for you to enjoy. All my love, Kim

I didn’t know Butch nearly as well as I should have although I lived next door for five years. I did have some good conversations with him about the fine crop of poison ivy I’ve got growing on the front wall of the house. He was a good man and a good neighbor. Sue, we’re right next door if you need anything.

If God’s real, you’re with Him now.

To my Uncle,
All I have are good memories of you! You were always smiling, telling funny stories and making me and our family laugh! I will never forget your laugh and sense of humor. You loved to garden and were so very good at it. We still have a banana tree growing in our backyard that you gave to Scott and me; you loved your banana trees! I will make sure it grows big and multiples into many more. I will never forget when you told me how beautiful I looked at my wedding and how proud of me you were. And, you gave great hugs.
I am so proud to be your niece! I love you and will miss you and look forward to seeing you again one day with our Lord.
May God bless you forever.

Butch’s Family…About a month ago; I was walking in from floor six of Continental’s parking garage. I was having an especially painful day trying to maneuver with my crutches. Butch came along side of me; “took” my purse and “cherry-covered” work bag and said; “After I mail this letter, I’ll bring your things to your desk”…and he did. I’ve always enjoyed and admired Butch for almost 20 years at work but this act of kindness really spoke volumes to his character. I always smile while thinking of this very “tall-manly-man” walking around Continental carrying a woman’s purse and “cherry-covered” bag…
Sue, last but not least; Butch always spoke very highly of you. It was refreshing to hear the respect and affection in his stories. Please know I will miss Butch and am so thankful for his friendship.

I have worked with Butch for such a short period of time, but I have great memories of him. I learned that in his previous job, Fridays were known as “Steak Day Friday!”. So anytime I was working with him on a Friday, I will always say, Butch is Steak day Friday!!! We would always have a laugh about that and I would tell him how much I wished we actually did have a steak on Fridays at work. I also learned a couple of short cuts on sonic/shares that I didn’t know before. My prayers are with Butch’s family.

I will miss his fun-loving sense of humor and our “Dallas Cowboys Debates”.
Take comfort in knowing that he loved his family and he was loved as well. May God Bless you and your family.
