Raymond Campos, age 79, of Houston, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on September 5, 2008. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eulalio Campos & Teresa (Santos) Campos. He is survived by his loving wife, Aurelia (Trevino) Campos; sons, Jose Saul Enriquez & his wife Esther, Juan A. Enriquez & his wife Tracy, Raymond Campos Jr., Raul Campos & his wife Lisa, and Lucio Campos; daughter, Silvia N. Murray & her husband Michael; sister, Maria Ramirez; grandchildren, Magdalena, Elizabeth, Rachel, Micaela, Crystal, Donovan, Devyn, Raul Jr., & Julian Saul; nieces & nephews, Mary Lou Flores, Naomi Mesa, Delphino Ramirez, and Marissa Ramirez; and a host of other family & friends.
Raymond was born on October 28, 1928, in Salinas Victoria Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He was an avid boxing fan and a master mechanic who could fix just about anything. He loved being outdoors and would often have family barbeques so he could enjoy spending time with everyone. Raymond was affectionately known to his grandchildren as “Itoâ€. His loyal dog, Tiger, was by his side for many years. Raymond was a well-educated man and would often have lively discussions about politics or current events. His inspiration to all those he knew in loved will always be remembered.
Visitation for Raymond is on Sunday, September 7, 2008, from 6pm to 8pm at Clayton Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 8, 2008, at 10:00 am at the Christian Temple Assembly of God, 9701 Almeda Genoa Road, Houston TX, 77075, 713-944-4815. Pastor Venji Gonzalez and Pastor Alex Garro will be officiating.
