Obituary of James Device Hay

James Device Hay Jr., 76, passed away on September 5, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Lillian Hay; his loving wife of 37 years, Patricia Marie Hay; and sister, Claire Whitman. James is survived by his sons, Jim Hay III and his wife, Sheila, Christopher Hay; daughter, Kelly Haley; grandchildren, Jacob and Dylan Hay, Heather Darnell, Tiffany Taillon, Lindsay Williamson, Joshua, Ryan and Jason Hay; great grandchildren, Jordyn Taillon, Logan Hay and Olivia Grace Hay; and a host of other family and friends.
James was a patriotic American that proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. He worked for many years as a member of the Operating Engineers Union in New Jersey, Texas and California. James never shied away from a hard day of work and raised his three children with that same determination. He made friends everywhere he went and was especially known for his great sense of humor. James will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A memorial service for James will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 11:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas with Chaplain David Roberts officiating.
