Obituary of Melania Lopez-Mercado

Melania Lopez-Mercado, 58, passed away on September 19, 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marcial and Alfonsa Lopez; husband, Fortunato Bautista; and brother, Arturo Lopez. Melania is survived by her sons, Oriel Bautista and wife, Lorena, Jomi and Ernesto Bautista; daughters, Nahum Hernandez and husband, Victor, Nereyda, Marlene and Lizabeth Bautista; brothers, Ricardo Lopez and wife, Ignacia, Adolfo Lopez and wife, Vickie, Sergio Lopez and wife, Elvia, Ociel Lopez and wife, Reina, Demetrio Lopez and wife, Alexandra; sisters, Celia Lopez and husband, Joel, Yolanda Lopez and husband, Nery; seven grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Melania loved her family very much. She was the oldest girl of nine children and helped take care of and raise all of her brothers and sisters. Melania always looked after them and still does today. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother who cherished and cared for her seven children her entire life. Melania was very proud of her family and loved every opportunity she had to spend time with them. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A visitation for Melania will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm with a Rosary recited by Deacon Cruz Trujillo at 6:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581. The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 11:30 am at Clayton Funeral Home with Father David Zapalac officiating. Interment will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
