Obituary of Rosemary McKenna Bishal

Rosemary McKenna Bishal, 98, passed away October 6, 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Sarah McKenna; husband, Michael G. Bishal; brothers, Peter, Jimmy and Thomas McKenna; sisters, Kathryn Hahn and Peggy Quinn. Rosemary is survived by her son, Ned Talbot and wife, Sandy; sister, Sally Henry; grandchildren, Dr. Brian Talbot and wife, Linda, Kevin Talbot and wife, Katie; great grandchildren, Kendall, Emerson, Austin, Charlotte Rose, and Bayne Talbot; and a host of other family and friends. Rosemary graduated with a nursing degree in 1933. She worked as a registered nurse in the Glen Cove Hospital as an operating room nurse for five years. She later went on to become the Director of Nursing at Manhassett Hospital in Manhassett Long Island for more than ten years. Rosemary also helped start another hospital in Syosset, Long Island where she served as Director of Nursing and also Administrator of the hospital. She retired from nursing in 1978 and later moved to Wichita Falls, Texas to be closer to her son, Ned and his family. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A Visitation for Rosemary will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 6:00 until 9:00 pm with a Rosary recited at 6:00 pm by Father Reginald Nesvadba at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The graveside service will take place on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 10:00 am at Crestview Memorial Park Cemetery in Wichita Falls, Texas.
