Obituary of Jose Edgardo Padilla

Jose Edgardo Padilla, 64, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013. He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Padilla. Jose is survived by his mother, Julia Padilla; his loving wife, Mary Ann Padilla; son, Jose Felipe Padilla; brother, Arcadio Padilla; sisters, Chris McPhail, Julia Karneth and husband, Barney; and a host of other family and friends. Jose enjoyed playing competitive tennis and riding his bike with his beloved dog “Poppy.” Family was very important to Jose and after retirement he enjoyed taking the kids to school and their various activities. He looked forward to his nieces and nephews baseball games and tennis matches. Jose and Mary Ann enjoyed traveling all over Texas to compete in tennis tournaments and going on family vacations to destinations such as Denver for Thanksgiving holiday. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A visitation for Jose will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm with a Rosary recited at 6:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 10:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home with interment to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
