Julio Cesar “Lalito”Cordoba, 94, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Julio and Carmen Cordoba; and his loving wife of 68 years, Ligia Cordoba. Julio is survived by his sons, Julio Cordoba and wife, Alvilda, William Cordoba and wife, Consuelo, Mario Cordoba and wife, Diana Visconti; grandchildren, Ligia Laguna and husband, Orlando, Julio Cordoba Jr and wife, Maria, Claudia Cordoba, Adriana Cordoba, William Cordoba Jr. and wife, Deanna, Cristina Williams and husband, Terrence, Diana Riera and husband, Christopher; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Julio was a quiet man that had a heart of gold. He was affectionately known to his children and grandchildren as “Lalito” and cherished every opportunity he had to spend time with them. Lalito was the guiding light, role model and inspiration for his family. He was extremely proud of his sons and all they had achieved. Lalito loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren and looked forward to entertaining them whenever he could. He would even dress up as Santa Claus at Christmas for them. Lalito will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A visitation for Julio will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm with a Rosary recited at 6:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1510 Fifth Street, Missouri City, Texas 77489. Interment will follow at Davis-Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg.
