Obituary of Jerald Wayne Bubb

Jerald “Jerry” Wayne Bubb, 67, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Virginia Bubb; his second father, Earl Pickron; brothers, Paul and Danny Bubb; sister, Sharon Bubb Kessler. Jerry is survived by his wife of 23 years, Maria Bubb; sons, Jim and Kevin Orr, and Wendell and Thomas Hayes; daughters, Pamela Montez, Kelly Hazlewood and husband, Ronnie, Kimberly Bubb, Terri Guerrero, and Yvonne Smaistrla; brother, Richard Bubb and wife, Larue; sister, Linda Spare and husband, Bob; former wife, Sharon K. Bubb; fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Jerry was one of the most easy going guys you would ever want to meet. He loved his George Jones music and his Miller Lite. Jerry had a strong work ethic his entire life whether it was working on the farm milking cows or providing for his family. He always looked forward to spending time with his family going to the beach or watching Houston Texans football games. Jerry was affectionately known as “Papa” to his grandchildren and relished in taking them out to look for sand dollars. He was a wonderful father and always took in any kids under his wing and unofficially adopted them. Jerry will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Bob Caperton officiating. A visitation will begin at 5:00 pm and the memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm.
