Obituary of Burnell Thomas George

Burnell Thomas George, 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 30, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Newman and Victoria George; and sister, Evelyn Hutchinson. Burnell is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Marie George; daughter, Charlotte Brown and husband, Jimmy; son, James George; sister, Bee Luke and husband, Jimmy; grandchildren, Jessica Brown Wilson and husband, Vince, Jimmy Brown Jr. and wife, Tanya; great grandchildren, Gisele and Sage Wilson; and a host of other family and friends. Burnell enjoyed the simple things in life. Spending time with family and wood working were two of his joys. Burnell was always good with his hands and often times would see something created in wood and go home and recreate it from memory. Burnell was “Pawpaw” to Jimmy and Jessica. Pawpaw was fun; from cannonballs in the pool, to Chick-o-Sticks from John’s Countryette, he made moments special. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the local VFW post. A memorial Service for Burnell will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 4:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.
