Obituary of Eliseo R. Saenz

Eliseo R. "Alex" Saenz, a resident of Pearland since 1970, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2006 at the age of 63 years. Alex was born September 18, 1943 in George West, Texas to Carlos "Charlie" and Hilaria Ruiz Saenz. Alex was a carpenter by trade and was a parishioner of St. Helen Catholic Church in Pearland. He is survived by a loving family; his beloved wife of 42 years, Josefina Vela Saenz; seven children, Eliseo "Alex" Saenz, Jr., Arnold Lee Saenz and his wife, Denise, Michael Andrew Saenz and his wife, Ruth, Cynthia Lynn Saenz and her husband, Leo, Adrian Saenz, Imelda Saenz and Carlos "Charlie" Saenz; two brothers, Ernest Saenz and Roy Saenz and his wife, Isabel; two sisters, Elva Palacios and her husband, Alfredo and Elia Saenz; 22 grandchildren, numerous other relatives and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will recite the holy rosary at 7:00 PM, Sunday, November 12, 2006, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, in Pearland. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 13, 2006, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Rd., in Pearland, with Rev. Reginald R. Nesvadba celebrating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
