Obituary of Graviela Hernandez Soliz

Graviela Hernandez Soliz, 76, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents, Faustino and Maria Hernandez; brothers, Armando Hernandez, Anestacio “Tacho” Hernandez, Severo Hernandez, and Robert Salinas. Grace is survived by her husband of 56 years, Julian D. Soliz Jr.; sons, Johnny Soliz and wife, Sandra, Julian Soliz III and wife, Judy; daughters, Lamar Silva and husband, Delmiro, Hilda Rebolledo and husband, Luis, Monica Arroyo and husband, Juan; brothers, Mile “Mike” Hernandez, Ray Salinas, and Rudy Salinas; sisters, Mercedes Chapa, Carolina Salinas, Maria Garcia, Emilia “Minnie” Pena, Aurora “Godie” Lopez; sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Grace was truly a servant of the Lord, attended church faithfully and was known as a prayer warrior. She was a culinary artist and always looked forward to cooking for family and friends. Grace loved gardening and especially enjoyed tending to her roses. She looked forward to spending time with friends and family playing Wahoo. Grace adored her family and always made parties, holidays and family gatherings memorable. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A visitation for Grace will be held on Monday, September 2, 2013 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm with a Rosary recited at 6:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209, Old Alvin Rd., Pearland, Texas 77581 with Father James Courville officiating. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland, Texas
