Honesto Casimiro, 90, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcelo and Angela Casimiro; wife, Beatriz Casimiro; brother, Justino Casimiro; sisters, Yaya Espinosa, Ikang Remot, Donie Casimiro, and Coring Bustamante. Honesto is survived by sons, Manuel A. Casimiro and wife, Susan, Jojo A. Casimiro and wife, Linda; daughters, Angelica C. Tresatayawed and husband, Satis, Edna C. Casupang and husband, Rene, Gwen C. Reyes and husband, Steve, Marissa C. Le and husband, Dinh, Alma C. Pagdatoon and husband, Vicente II; sister, Nene Rabe and husband, Dodong; grandchildren, Anchale, Alice, Precious, Maricar, Michael, Khristine, Kaiser, Melody, Jessica, Carlo, Karen, Bea, Kimberly, Vincent, Alvic, Rizha, and Richelle; great grandchild, Sun Viktor; and a host of other family and friends.
Honesto came from humble beginnings and despite many hardships, was able to get an education and become a lawyer through his hard work and dedication. He passed on the importance of education to all of his children. Honesto had a sharp mind and could recall historical facts, poems, and favorite sayings from decades ago. He traveled the world and loved to dance, party and to flirt with beautiful women. Honesto was a strict but caring father that always wanted the best for his children and grandchildren. He was a patient, loving and devoted husband that cared for his wife when she fell ill and even completed a poem that Beatriz had written. Honesto was strong in his Catholic faith and always attended mass on Sundays. He was affectionately known as “Lolo,” “Daddy 2,” “Judge,” “Ernie,” “Erning,” and “Daddy” to all of his family and friends. His honesty and openness allowed him to make many friends easily. Honesto had a colorful life, had many great stories to share, and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A visitation for Honesto will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, September 4th and 5th from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral mass will take place on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Rd., Pearland, TX 77581 with Father James Courville officiating. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
