Chancellor Ryan Davidson, 13, of Pearland, Texas, passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, October 14, 2013. Chance is survived by his devoted parents, Andrea and Scott Davidson, his brother, Clay Davidson, his loving grandparents, and a host of family and friends across the country. Chance was born on December 16, 1999, in Newport Beach, California. His family moved to Texas in 2001, and he attended St. Thomas Episcopal School. Chance was a perennial honor student and a voracious reader. He loved music, was an accomplished bagpipe, electric guitar and piano player, and was a member of the St. Thomas Episcopal School Pipe Band. Chance was also extremely active and played competitive soccer from a very young age. In June of 2012, Chance was diagnosed with brain cancer. Throughout a seemingly endless string of treatments and surgeries, Chance’s courage and positive outlook on life never wavered. He will forever be remembered for his happy and outgoing nature, and for his trademark smile. Chance brought joy and inspiration to countless family, friends and loved ones, and he will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Following the Mass, a private burial service will be held at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
