Lou Ann Walcik passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, October 20, 2013. Lou was born October 16, 1952 in Houston, Texas to Chester and Ginger Mills. Lou lived in the Houston area throughout her life. She welcomed her two children Patrick and Lauren into the world in Angelton Texas, with her former husband Larry Moody. In 1985, Lou married Bob Walcik where she was blessed with two step daughters Kelley and Allison. She worked for many years as a Deputy County Clerk for Harris County. Lou was a wonderful woman who was a friend to many and was loved by everyone whom she met. She was a wonderful mother that was always ready with a snack and a smile. Lou’s humor and kindness were what people admired the most. Lou will be greatly missed by her family and friends but will never be forgotten. Lou was preceded in death by her parents and by her beloved dachshunds Paige and Kelsey. Lou is survived by her husband, Bob Walcik, and brother Brad Mills of San Antonio, son and daughter-in-law Patrick and Nicole Moody of Alvin; her daughter and son-in-law Lauren and Dustin Gersch of Pflugerville; Kelley and Kevin Harwerth of Houston; Allison and Bryan Alexander of Sweeney; and grandsons Cooper, Hayden and Ethan. Lou requested that we celebrate her life by helping find a cure for Multiple Systems Atrophy.
