Obituary of Paula Rae Jordan
Please share a memory of Paula to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Paula Rae Jordan, 64, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her father, James Rodden and her step-father Wyrie Vineyard. Paula is survived by her mother, Ruby Hale Vineyard; her loving husband of 44 years, Clark Jordan; son, Clark Jordan Jr. and wife, Heather; daughters, Jennifer Jordan Barcelo and Kim Cooke; sister, Lynette Pitts and husband, Terry; grandchildren, Kathleen and Caroline Cooke, Chloe and Camie Jordan, Ava and Sophia Barcelo; and a host of other family and friends.
Paula had a loving personality and never met a stranger. She made friends everywhere she went. She had a beautiful smile and was always up for anything. Paula especially enjoyed antique cars and riding around in their 1931 Model A Coupe…hot-rodding around with Clark. She was a loyal employee at Schlumberger for decades and will be remembered by coworkers for her work ethic and endearing sense of humor. Paula enjoyed traveling on cruises the last few years and spending time at her weekend home in Sargent, that she and Clark had built together. Paula enjoyed listening to music and was especially fond of the “Golden Oldies.” She was affectionately known as “MiMi” and “LaLa” to her granddaughters who she cherished spending time with. Paula will forever be remembered by her friends and family for that beautiful smile on her face, holding a can of coke and often headed towards the slot machines. Family and friends can rest at ease that Paula took comfort knowing she had a predetermined day she would be born and a day she would rejoice in Heaven. Testament to this fact is that she passed on her birthday. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
