Oralia Lopez Ramirez, 63, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014. She is preceded in death by her father, Bonifacio Lopez. Oralia is survived by her mother, Rosenda Lopez; her loving husband of 40 years, Joe Ramirez; son, Joe Ramirez, Jr. and wife, Annette; daughter, Amy Ramirez Evans and husband, David; brothers, Benjamin Lopez and wife, Nadine, Bernardo Lopez and wife, Clara, Bonifacio Lopez Jr. and wife, Estella, Issac Lopez and wife, Martha; sisters, Febe Mendiola and husband, Ellis, Linda Lewis and husband, Mike, Connie Arevalo and husband, Joaquin; grandchildren, Alyssa Ramirez, JoeAnthony Ramirez, Andrea J. Ramirez, David Evans Jr., John M. Evans, Alexandra J. Ramirez, J. Luke Ramirez; and a host of other family and friends. Oralia was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother that cherished spending time with her family. She enjoyed doing puzzles, gardening, playing with her grandchildren and cooking for her family and friends, especially her famous potato salad. Oralia always looked forward to the simple things of sitting with her grandchildren, putting them to bed or simply just watching television with her children. She had a servant’s heart and found peace in sacrificing and doing for her family and friends. Oralia was strong in her faith and was an avid reader of her Bible. She was affectionately known as “Nana O’ and “Grandma Ya Ya” to her grandchildren who she loved shopping for and getting their Christmas and Easter outfits. Oralia will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A visitation for Oralia will be held on Monday, February 24, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral service will take place, Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., at Calvary Church, 222 Avenue E., Alvin, TX 77511 with Rev. Joel Cavazos officiating. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
