Obituary of Elena C. Villanueva

Elena C. Villanueva, a resident of Pearland and formerly of The Philippines, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the age of 83 years. Mrs. Villanueva was born September 17, 1923 in Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines. Mrs. Villanueva is preceded in death by two sons, Eduardo Villanueva and Reggie Villanueva. She is survived by a loving family; ten children, Lilita Brookshire and husband, Larry, Pantaleon Villanueva, Jr. and wife, Flordeliza, Ernesto Villanueva, Ted Villanueva and wife, Eugenie, Virgilio Villanueva and wife, Velda, Gloria V. Cabrera and husband, Jose, Noel Villanueva, Elizabeth Castro and husband, Luis, Mariquita Montojo and husband, Joseph, and Rosemarie Villanueva; 25 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and dear friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Tuesday, September 4, 2007, in the chapel of Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway in Pearland, where a vigil will be offered at 7:00 PM and led by Deacon Dale Almenario. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Rd. in Pearland, with Rev. Edmund P. Eduarte celebrating. Rite of committal will follow at South Park Cemetery.
