Obituary of Elsie Merle Krell

Elsie Merle (Ellis) Krell, a resident of Pearland for 52 years, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2006 at the age of 75. Elsie was born February 27, 1931 in Huntsville, Texas to Milburn William and Mary Mellie (Sims) Ellis. She was church secretary for First Baptist Church of Pearland for over 25 years and was a member of Garden Road Baptist Church in Pearland. Elsie retired after 10 years with Wal Mart and was co-owner of Browse Around Antiques. Elsie is survived by a loving family; her husband, Elvin Roy Krell; son and daughter-in-law, Freddy and Beverly Krell, of Pearland; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Mark Campbell and Lori Ann and Dean Newtz, all of Pearland; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Aubrey and Martha Ellis, of Friendswood, Phillip and Pattie Ellis and Don and Sybil Ellis, all of Pearland; sister, Anna Jean Ellis, of Pearland; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, in Pearland. A celebration of Elsie’s life will be held 2 PM Wednesday, May 31, 2006, in the Chapel of Clayton Funeral Home, with Rev. D. O. Foster and Rev. Donald W. Pope officiating. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery, in Pearland.
