Obituary of Vlasta Julia Hill

Vlasta Julia (Wolf) Hill, a resident of Pearland, passed away Monday, May 15, 2006 in Webster, at the age of 89 years. Mrs. Hill was born June 12, 1916 in Cornhill, Texas to John Peter and Julia Mahacek Wolf. She had a very positive influence on the lives of her two sons, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as many other family and friends too numerous to count. Mrs. Hill is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lester Lee Alfred Raley, her second husband, Williard T. Hill, a son, Lester Lee Raley, two brothers, Peter and Dennis Bruno Wolf and a grandson, Barry Scott Raley. She is survived by a loving family; son, William Larry “Bill” Raley and his wife, Jennifer, of Pearland; sister, Lois Hartman, of San Antonio; brother, Cyril Wolf and his wife, Margaret, of Taylor, Texas; granddaughter, Leslie Lynn Raley, of Maryland; three great grandchildren, Lara, Eric and Daniell Raley, all of Virginia; and many loving nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating Mrs. Hill’s life will be held Saturday, July 8, 2006 in Taylor, Texas at the Wolf Family Reunion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the College of the Mainland Foundation Office, 1200 Amburn Road, Texas City, Texas 77581. A memorial scholarship fund for a nursing student has been established in the name of Vlasta Julia Wolf.
