Harriet Cole, 92, passed away Monday, November 7, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Price Cole, a WWII Veteran, her mother, Mary Virginia Welch, her father, John Milton Welch, sisters, Eunice Virginia Robbins, Donia Charlene Jackson and her brother, J. W. Jackson. She is survived by her only child, Mary Frances Adams and husband, Lamar Adams of Pearland, Texas, Grandsons, Gary Blaine Settle and wife, Barbara Settle and Ronald D. Settle and wife, Brenda Settle. She was survived by her Great-Grandchildren, Erika MaryHelen Settle, Blaine Edward Settle, Cory Edward Settle and Cole Alexander Settle. She is also survived by her sister, Ollie Hardy and husband Robert Hardy of New Waverly, Texas and a host of other precious family and friends. Harriet was born September 15, 1924 in Charleston, Texas. During her childhood, she frequently relocated due to her father’s occupation and eventually ended up in Houston, Texas. After graduating from San Jacinto High School, She married Clyde Price Cole in1953 and they eventually relocated to Pearland, Texas. Harriet went to work for Blaine & Company Insurance in the late 1940’s and worked there until the death of W. Tucker Blaine, Sr. in the 1970’s. From there, Harriet went to Real Estate School and she became a Real Estate Broker and Appraiser where she excelled at selling property in the Pearland, Texas area. Harriet was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Pearland for over 20 years and later in life became a member of Sagemont Church in Houston. After experiencing good health for most of her adult life, she developed Alzheimer’s and succumbed to her death after years of being incapacitated by this devastating disease. Per Harriet’s request, there will be no Viewing, Funeral or Memorial services held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to First Presbyterian Church of Pearland, 2930 East Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581 or Sagemont Church, 11300 S. Sam Houston Pkwy E, Houston, TX 77089.
