Obituary of Betty Jean Lee

Betty Jean Lee, 88, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Alice Bates; her husband, William Russell Lee, Jr.; her sister, Beverly Romano; and granddaughter, Stephanie Brown.  Betty is survived by her daughters, Susan Reinert and husband, Douglas and Cindy Laird and husband, Bobby; grandchildren, Bobby Brown, Jr, Chris Bryars, and Adam Hooks; great grandchildren, Ashtyn, Grant, and Blake Brown, Ethan and Autumn Bryars, Braden and Chandler Hooks; and a host of many other family and dear friends.

Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that devoted her life to her family.  She loved her church, her church family and was strong in her faith.  Betty had an active social life and loved dancing, playing golf several days a week and playing bridge with her friends.  She was very competitive and was always up for a new challenge.  Her determination and strong will persevered long after her body would no longer allow her to do all the things she loved to do.  Betty will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services for Betty will be held Thursday, September 28, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, 2314 N. Grand Blvd., Pearland, TX 77581.  The visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 am with the funeral service folowing at 11:00 am with Reverend Dr. Keith Whitaker officiating.  Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland, Texas
