June 19, 1917 - January 9, 2005 Emily was called home by her Lord on Sunday, January 9, 2005 after a long illness. Emily served the community in Houston along side her loving husband, Manuel Crespo. For over 50 years they helped many, many families in their own times of mourning. The love they shared was also the love they represented in their business, the Manuel Crespo Funeral Home, in Houston. Emily was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Manuel, Sr., her parents, Charles Newton Meyer and Apolonia (Paula) Arcos Meyer, her sister, Frances Ingle and three brothers, William (Bill) Meyer, Newton J. Meyer and Charles J. Meyer. She is survived by a loving family; two sons and daughters-in-law, Manuel, Jr. and Mary Lou Crespo, of Conroe and Louis and Rosie Crespo, of Pearland. Her brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Kay Meyer, of Conroe. Six grandchildren, Anthony and wife, Madeleine, of Baytown, Manuel (Trey), III, of Pearland, Teresa Mechelle Cole and husband, Ken, of Tomball, Patrick Allen and wife, Pamela, of Spring, Gary Adam and wife, Lisa, of Friendswood and Brenda Lee Lanza and husband, Nick, of Bellaire. 18 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Emily will now be watching over us all from her throne with her Lord. Her love and devotion will live with us all forever. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11:30 AM Tuesday, January 11, 2005, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2405 Navigation Blvd., in Houston with Rev. Timothy Gray, S..C.J., celebrating. A private entombment followed at the Catacombs Mausoleum at the Garden of Gethsemane Cemetery, in Houston.
