Please share a memory of Guadalupe to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Guadalupe P. Sims, age 59, entered into eternal life on September 18, 2023, in Pearland, TX. She was born on September 8, 1964, in Acuña Coahuila, Mexico, to the late Deacon Ignacio Panuco and Martha Panuco. Lupie was a cherished soul, who embodied a value of gratitude, and who had a deep connection to her faith.

Guadalupe, also known as Lupie, was a beloved daughter, partner, sister, and aunt. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her loving mother Martha Panuco, her faithful partner Micheal Hogg, her cherished siblings Maria O'Meara and husband Daniel of Rusk, Clem Panuco and wife Heather of Aledo, Marcey Cook and husband Glenn of Shoreacres, Juana Flores and husband Sergio of Baytown, Alejandra Salinas and husband Rure of Houston, Joe Panuco and wife Karla of Jacksonville, and Alesa Guillen and husband Pete of Jacksonville. Lupie's presence in the lives of her numerous nieces and nephews brought her immeasurable joy and warmth.

She was preceded in death by her father Deacon Ignacio Panuco, her late husband Charles Sims, and her nephew Anthony Silva.

A devout soul, Lupie found solace and guidance in her faith through the example of her parents, Deacon Ignacio and Martha Panuco. She found spiritual nourishment within the walls of Sacred Heart of Jesus in Rusk, TX, where her father and mother worshipped, as well as St. Mary's Catholic Church in La Porte, TX, where she humbly sought strength and inspiration.

Lupie attended Woodland Acres Elementary for her primary education and later graduated from Galena Park High School. She further pursued her education at San Jacinto Community College. She was a hairdresser for 5+ years. Her final place of employment was at Tri-Star Freight Systems in Houston TX for 20+ years.

Lupie had a zest for life and enjoyed various hobbies. She loved running, shopping, spending time with her family, and indulging in her mother's delicious cooking. Lupie also found joy in playing loteria while taking shots of tequila with her sisters. She enjoyed spending the holidays and weekends with her family at her parents home in Rusk, TX.
