Obituary of Nancy Loretta Measures McCarty

Nancy Loretta Measures McCarty, lovingly known as Mom, Grammie and Gigi, 84 of Houston, Texas passed peacefully on November 24, 2023. She was born on December 1, 1938 in Parker County, Texas to Tom and Ilene Measures. She attended school in Peaster, Texas where she was one of 12 in her graduating class. She enjoyed basketball and Home Economics. Nancy worked for State Farm Insurance for over 40 years. In her spare time, she loved to knit, do puzzles and spend time with her family.

She is survived by her brother Doil Clayton Measures of Lubbock, Texas, his daughter Shelley Wells Timms, Darla Myers and her husband, Danny, Sondra Niland and her husband, Casey, her grandchildren Branden Jennings, his wife Regina, Brooke Badger, her husband Colt, Jared Niland, his wife Courtney, and Madelyn Niland. She had three great grandJOYS Layla Jennings, Bailey Badger and Cora Badger.  And a host of other family and friends.
