Linda Faye (Peak) Wallis, 79, of Garden Ridge, Texas, and most recently of Pearland, Texas passed away peacefully on December 10th, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Linda was born on December 31, 1943, to Alton Peak and Maude McBride Peak in San Antonio, Texas.  After graduating from Thomas A. Edison High School in 1961, she worked at USAA and Broadway National Bank in various administrative capacities.

In 1963, Linda married Arnold Wallis in San Antonio, and the couple went on to have two children, Michele and Duane.

Linda was a life-time member of the Bracken Volunteer Fire Department.  For many years, she worked as a volunteer at the Potato Pancake Booth during Wurstfest.

Linda was a Mother, a Baker, a Quilter, an avid hunter throughout her life, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She also gathered an impressive collection of Christmas ornaments, decorations and figurines that would have put Santa’s workshop to shame.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Marietta Engel and Edith Gardner, her husband Arnold Wallis and son Duane Wallis.

She is survived by her daughter Michele and husband Enrique Alvarez, grandchildren Tomás Alvarez, Eric Alvarez, Ian Alvarez, Cody Hyland, Katelyn Wallis, great-granddaughter Lilianna Alvarez, brother Jack Peak (Stephanie), sister JoAnn Hengst and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, Texas 78218 on Saturday December 16th, 2023, at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bracken Volunteer Fire Department at https://www.brackenvfd.org/donate/
