Obituary of Carol Jeanene Shiver

Carol Jeanene Shiver, 88, of Friendswood, Texas, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 22, 2024.

Born December 7, 1935 in Fort Worth, Texas to Charles and Imogene (Foy) Davis, Jeanene, to all who knew her, was an incredible person with a tremendous heart and to know her was to love her.

Jeanene centered her life around fulfilling her title of “Gabby” to her granddaughter Alyssa and great granddaughter Hadley.  She also had a special bond with her niece Debbie and cherished her title of “Aunt Nene” to so many that loved her.  She was a successful business owner, running a lighting showroom (Creative Lighting) in Pearland for nearly 47 years.  Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling with her sisters, trips to the casino, and spending time with her beloved family.  Jeanene will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jeanene is survived by her two sons Bill Shiver and Brad Shiver (Suzanne Hill); granddaughter Alyssa (Brandon) Dugat; great granddaughter Hadley Dugat; sister Jan Davis; nephews Chris (Aleta) Parrack and Brian (Marlene) Parrack; niece Debbie (Bob) McCormack; along with many great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Imogene (Foy) Davis; sisters Linda Davis and Nancy Parrack; and nephew Greg Parrack.

A Celebration of Jeanene’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Clayton Funeral Home (5530 W. Broadway St, Pearland, Texas 77581), with Dr. Keith Anderson presiding. A reception will follow the service at the Knights of Columbus Hall located at 2320 Hatfield Rd, Pearland, Texas 77581.
