Stephen Michael Mikeska passed away peacefully at his home on January 20th, 2024; at 63 years old. He was born in Houston on February 20th, 1960 to John Walter Mikeska and Josephine Rosalie Mikeska. Stephen was the eldest of six children. He grew up in Pearland, then followed his father’s footsteps in the electrical industry; where he dedicated over 40 years of his life, during which time he made lifelong friends.

Stephen was happiest outdoors; whether hunting, fishing, boating or riding his motorcycle. He and his wife Elsa went on many motorcycle trips with friends. He enjoyed taking his family boating in Lake Livingston. He also loved spending time at the beach and floating the river. More than anything he loved his grandchildren; he wouldn’t miss their games or events for anything. He will be remembered for his smile and infectious laugh. Stephen will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 29 years, Elsa Mikeska; sons: Stephen “Mitchell” Mikeska and Brandon Michael Mikeska; parents: John Walter Mikeska and Josephine Rosalie Mikeska. He is survived by his daughters: Harley Rae Mikeska, Angel Rocha and husband Hector and Lauren Harrigan and husband Tim; brothers: Guy Mikeska and wife Tammy, Carl Mikeska and wife Angie, Shawn Mikeska and wife Leslie, Virgil Mikeska and wife Patricia; sister: Emelia Freitag and husband Gilbert; grandchildren, Hannah, Kyle, Zachary, Leah, Michael and Waylon; great-granddaughter Ryan.

A Visitation will be held for Stephen on Thursday, February 1st, 2024, at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland. His family will receive guests from 6 to 8 pm, with a Rosary being recited at 6 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held the following day, February 2nd, 2024, at St. Helen Catholic Church, with the Mass commencing at 10 am.
