View Tribute Book Glen Doyle Goodman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior on October 6, 2025, at 10:48 PM. Born on June 15, 1938, in Palestine, Texas, Glen lived a life marked by devotion, hard work, adventure, and unwavering love for his family.Glen graduated from Galena Park High School in 1956 and met the love of his life, Jetta Staten, the following year. They married on November 25, 1959, beginning a partnership that spanned nearly 66 years. Together, they built not only a beautiful life but also a legacy of entrepreneurship and generosity.In 1963, Glen quite literally built Seabrook Radiator Shop from the ground up. After selling it in 1974, he joined his father-in-law at Wayside Radiator Shop in Houston. Glen and Jetta purchased the business in 1982, growing it into a well-known and successful enterprise. They retired in 1986, embracing a life of travel and family.Glen was a proud father to Rhonda Vidales and Lisa Corrington, and a doting grandfather to Lauren Bell, Joshua Vidales, and Victoria “Tori” Vidales. His grandchildren were his world, and he never missed a recital, competition, or game, traveling far and wide to cheer them on. In recent years, he delighted in his great-granddaughter Kinlee Vidales and eagerly awaited the arrival of his great-grandson in February 2026.In 1992, Glen and Jetta sold their family home and embarked on a motorhome adventure, fulfilling their bucket list of travels. They eventually settled in Brenham, Texas in 2003, where they became cherished members of the First United Methodist Church. Glen served as President of the Board of Trustees for the United Methodist Men and was honored as a member of the United Methodist Women for his tireless support.Glen’s love for life extended to simple pleasures—Blue Bell ice cream and Dairy Queen Blizzards were daily delights. His warmth, humor, and steadfast spirit touched everyone he met.He was preceded in death by his parents, John D. Goodman, and Cora Bell Goodman; father-in-law Herbert Staten and wife Doris Staten; and mother-in-law Ruby Allene Pogue and husband Bob Pogue.Glen is survived by his devoted wife, Jetta Goodman; daughters Rhonda Vidales (Johnny) and Lisa Corrington (Scot); grandchildren Lauren Bell (Bryan), Joshua Vidales (Hailey), and Tori Vidales; great-granddaughter Kinlee Vidales and a great-grandson on the way; sister Linda Sue Sockwell (James); and many nieces, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.Honorary brothers in life include Chuck Householder, Jackie Hughes, James Sockwell, Charlie Butterfras, Ronnie Manchester, Bobby Clark, Clarence Jean, and Roy Hodges.Memorial Services Brenham Service: Friday, October 17th at 11:00 AM First United Methodist Church of Brenham 408 Baylor St., Brenham, TX 77833 Reception to follow.
