My favorite memory was going to Aunt Judy's apartment when she was single and swimming in the pool. Being from the country, I guess I didn't understand the concept of a "deep end" of a pool or maybe I was an overconfident swimmer. Regardless, Aunt Judy had to jump off her float and rescue me from drowning. She wasn't angry or upset. We just joked about it and had a wonderful day! I do think she told Marilyn to get me swimming lessons..
She empowered all things feminist and strong before it was cool to do so. She was my rock when my parents health declined offering my both comfort and advice. I could not have made it through the most difficult time of life without her strength and humor.
Aunt Judy was a one of a kind woman with strength, heart, determination and love for her family.
My sincerest condolences to Uncle Kirk, the death of a beloved spouse and the silence of your home must be hard. Know she is still there and wishing you a life of love and happiness. It was who she was always wanting to laugh and she would want you to laugh and smile again.
To my cousin Aimee, losing the first person you loved is hard.. but
know her love is not gone but shows up in your decisions for your sons, your confidence and your ability to find strength to carry on. You and her adorable grandsons were her everything and she was SO PROUD of you all. I don't think I ever had a conversation with her she didn't mention you. You were loved and you will see her again. Until then know she is with you always!
My thoughts and prayers are with her siblings as well. I know she and Marilyn are hanging with my dad, Uncle Walter and Uncle Bobby and they are definitely getting some good eye rolls from her and my mom over their jokes.
We all miss you Aunt Judy but I know you are in a happy place surrounded by love and no longer in pain.
Love,
Regina
