Garcia, born on April 29, 1938, in Baytown, Texas, was called to her eternal home on October 19, 2025. She was a strong, independent, and deeply loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend who devoted her life to raising her sons with unwavering care and dedication. Mary took pride in providing for her family and instilling the values she held dear.She spent her life in the cherished home of her parents; a place filled with love and memories. Mary is preceded in death by her parents Carmen and Anita, and her sister Faye Oviedo.She is survived by her sons: Abraham (wife Miranda), Adrian (wife Lisa), and Hector (wife Bridget); grandchildren Lauren (fiancée Dakota), Angelina, Brandon (wife Hannah, great granddaughter Aria Marie), Dylan (fiancée Gaby), Marcus (wife Emma), Miranda; and nieces, nephews and friends who loved her dearly.Mary found joy in life’s simple pleasures—tending to her plants, sharing them with others, and savoring quiet mornings on her porch with a cup of coffee. She also cherished time by the beach, and one of her most recent joys was a peaceful trip to Galveston, where she spent hours on the balcony, taking in the beauty of the water.A visitation and rosary will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Clayton Funeral Home. A brief service will follow on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with a reception immediately after at Fairmont Park Church, located at 10402 Belfast Rd, La Porte, TX 77571.Mary will be remembered for her strength, her love, and the quiet grace with which she lived her life. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
