Velvett Ruth Dawn Lewis' Obituary
Velvett Ruth Dawn Lewis passed away on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025, at the age of 53. Left to cherish Velvett’s memory are her parents, Michael and Hazel Marsh; husband of 23 years, Troy Lewis; sons, Tyler Lewis and wife Jaylin, Jayden Lewis and wife Janaya, and Brayden Lewis; daughter, Velvet Lewis; brother, Mike Marsh and wife Christine; her beloved dog, Bella; and a host of many other family and friends.
Velvett was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved her family fiercely and remained strong in her faith throughout her life. Velvett enjoyed a successful career in nursing, where she was able to let her caring nature flourish. In her time outside of work, Velvett enjoyed relaxing with her family, or traveling to new places with them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services for Velvett will be held at Parkway Church in Pearland, Texas on Friday, October 31st. Her family will receive guests during a visitation from 4:00 to 5:00 pm, with the funeral service commencing at 5:00 pm.
