Obituary of Debbra Lou Parmer
Please share a memory of Debbra to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Debbra Lou (Debbie) Parmer passed away on March 31, 2007 at 3:05 PM while in the arms of her husband and surrounded by her daughters, family, and friends. Debbie had waged a war with an incurable and rare primary liver cancer for over 4 ½ years with a will of steel and an unrelenting faith in her Lord. For those who really saw her battle, she will be an inspiration to us forever. Debbie was born in Fort Worth, Texas on April 13, 1948 and spent her life in Pasadena, Texas from ‘56 until ‘92 and the last 10 years in Pearland, Texas. Debbie was as loving a person as God has ever put on earth, a dignified lady, great mom, friend, “Mamoll’, and wife. Debbie’s survivors include her adoring husband, Rick, daughters and husbands D’Ann & Randy Hunt, Rhonda & Jim Bob Jacobs, Carrie & Jason Petter, and grandchildren Brady and Bailey Jacobs and Casey Hunt, sister Coleta Van Teighem, and numerous family and friends. A very special thanks to Coleta, Sissy Hauptman and Elena Parmer for their help in care giving. If desired, in lieu of flowers, a donation to either M.D. Anderson Gastrointerology or Palliative Care, or to Houston Hospice in Debbie’s name may be made. The family commends all of the doctors, nurses, and staff for their total care and compassion while attending to Debbie. Enough cannot be said about Debbie but to have known her, seen her will to live and battle, felt her love, is a blessing forever.
The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM Monday, April 2, 2007, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, in Pearland. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 5354 Space Center Blvd., in Pasadena. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery in Pearland.
