Obituary of Nathaniel Clark
Please share a memory of Nathaniel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Nathaniel “Nate” Clark, 53, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, February 7, 2016. He is preceded in death by his father, Fletcher Clark. Nate is survived by his mother, Ruby Clark; his loving wife of 16 years, Victoria Clark; sons, Tavarion Clark, Prentice Nathaniel Godwin; daughters, Dominique Gamble and husband, Shadrick, Tava Clark and husband, Derrick, Brionna Clark; brothers, Kevin Moten and wife, Christine, Tommy Clark; sisters, Debra McCume and husband, Tommy, Deanna Clark; grandchildren, Taeshon Charles, Darius Clark, Delleon Clark, Ja’Nae Gamble, Victoria Gamble, and Mason Gamble; and a host of other family and friends.
Nate worked in management in the Environmental Service field and had an enterprising commercial cleaning services company for more than 15 years. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed working out in the gym. Nate’s love of football started at a young age as he was a star athlete in high school before going to EMU on an athletic scholarship. He was widely known to his hometown friends as “Our Fullback”. Nate’s most endearing quality was his outgoing and engaging personality. The phrase he never met a stranger truly applied to Nate; he was famously known for striking up conversations with people in the grocery store checkout line. Nate was also known for his positive attitude and his ability to encourage and lift up everyone around him. He enjoyed spending time with Victoria going to concerts, movies, comedy shows and dining out. Nate will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
