Obituary of Joseph Charles Pecot

Joseph Charles Pecot, 78, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alcide and Pauline Pecot; his loving wife, Linda Pecot; and sister, Adele Pecot Koster and husband Johnny, brother-in-law’s Carl Spears and Jerry Morningstar, sister-in-law Marti Nielsen and husband Don. Joseph is survived by his sons, Kenneth Pecot and Ann Hulse, Troy Pecot and Marivel Valdez Corvera, Matthew Stocker and wife Teresa; daughters, Kerry Mohammadian and husband Kevin, Lisa Pennington and husband Richard; his twin sister, Jeanne Pecot Spears, sister-in-law Sandy Lambo and husband Bill. Joseph is also survived by his grandchildren Joseph Mohammadian and Darcie plus 1 great grandchild Mason, Charles Strickland and Kristine, Brittney Duchon and Joel plus 2 great grandchildren Micah, Nathan and a baby girl on the way, Myshel Smith and Cody plus 1 great grandchild Morgan, Mandy Rowe and Scott plus 3 great grandchildren Noah, Benjamin and Samuel, Nicholas Pecot and Virginia plus 2 great grandchildren Shawn and Emily, Ben and Miranda Hulse, Colin Pecot and Michelle, Caitlyn Pecot, Savanah and Matthew Corvera, great grandchildren Amber, Kaylla and Elizabeth Strickland; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that all loved Joseph Pecot dearly.
Joseph was a proud veteran that served his country in the United States Navy for 20 years. Throughout his naval career, he was stationed all over the world including the Philippines, Hawaii, San Francisco, Chicago and San Diego. After retiring from the Navy he went to work as an electrician at NASA, Brown & Root, and Texas Instruments. He was an excellent provider for his family and worked until he could no longer work. Joseph enjoyed his computer and keeping up with the latest trends and also loved collecting eagle statues. He was a kind and gentle man that never raised his voice to anyone. Joseph was affectionately known as Poppy to his grandchildren and cherished every chance he had to spend time with them. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Visitation and Services for Joseph will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will begin at 2:00 pm and the funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with Chaplain Jerry Skinner officiating.
