Obituary of Francisco Martinez

Francisco Martinez, 62, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018.  Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Angela Gutierrez; his loving wife of 38 years, Maria Martinez; sons, Carlos F. Martinez, David Martinez, Antonio L. Martinez; daughter, Angela Maria Martinez; brother, Manuel Perez; sisters, Teresa Morgan, Maria L. Morgan, Dora Morgan, Rosario Morgan, Guadalupe Castaneda; brother-in-law, Lino Castaneda; nephews, Francisco and Luis Castaneda; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Francisco was a loving and kind husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He was a very responsible family man and workaholic. His strong distinct voice could easily be identified, and his great charismatic smile would always catch your eye. Francisco was humble, good hearted, and would not hesitate to help those in need. He never gave bad advice and was always there to be a great mentor. He faced life obstacles without fear. Francisco will always be remembered for his unselfishness and as an incredible friend. He enjoyed carpentry, renovating houses and jogging in the park. He believed food was pure joy and ensured everyone was well fed. Francisco loved to dress sharp, only wore nice quality clothes, and enjoyed vibrant colors. His favorite things were coffee and spicy foods. He was a blunt and straight forward man. Francisco was strong in his faith and believed in God with all his heart. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.  

Services for Francisco will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The visitation will be held Friday, August 24, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.  The funeral service will take place Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 10:00 am, with Pastor Justo Robinson officiating.  Interment will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens in Pearland, Texas.
