Melissa Cole And Alecia Desirae Castillo April 19, 1978 - February 04, 2010 Melissa Dawn Reynolds Cole was born in Pasadena, Texas, on April 19, 1978. She was a graduate of LaPorte High School Class of 1996. Melissa was a loving and protecting mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She lived life to the fullest and will be forever loved and missed by all of those whose lives she touched. Melissa is preceded in death by her grandparents, Gene and Minnie Bell Norwine, and her uncles, Brett Norwine and James Sparks. She is survived by her two sons, Piero Jr. and Lucas Cole; stepchildren, Brittnie and James Rives; parents, Patty and Lloyd G. Rhoden; sister, Brooke Phillips; brother-in-law, Coy Oliver; nephew and niece, Tyler and Chloe Mahalec; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Hazel Cole, puppy Bella, and numerous family and friends. Alecia Desirae Castillo, age 15, died a victim of domestic violence on Thursday, the 4th of February 2010. She was born in Baytown, Texas on the 9th of September 1994, raised in La Porte, TX. Desirae was a student at the Ninth Grade Center in Pearland, Texas. Desirae was a very vibrant and beautiful child who loved being the one to make everyone laugh, always found the good before the bad in people, always caring for others before herself. Her favorite movie was Twilight, and favorite color was purple. Desirae is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Gene and Minnie Bell Norwine and two uncles, Brett Norwine and James Sparks. Desirae is survived by her loving father, Joe Castillo and stepmother Veronica Castillo; three stepsisters, Brittnie Rives, Gazelle Rodriguez and Jazmine Rodriguez, stepbrother James Rives, two brothers, Piero Cole, Jr. and Lucas Cole, three sets of grandparents, Ken and Gloria Cox, Albert Sr. and Rebecca Castillo, Lloyd and Patty Rhoden, boyfriend Michael Simmons and numerous family and friends. Melissa Dawn and Alecia Desirae were escorted together by Angels and taken to meet their Lord. Visitation will be held Thursday February 11, 2010 at 6-8PM at First Baptist Church in La Porte. Services will be held Friday February 12, 2010 at 12PM at the church as well. In memory, donations may be made to The Alecia Desirae Castillo Scholarship Fund.
