Obituary of Martha Lou Dillard

Martha Lou Dillard October 14, 1936 - January 08, 2013 Martha Dillard, 76, passed away peacefully at her home on January 8, 2013. Born in Daisetta, Texas on October 14, 1936, Martha was the daughter of the late I. Y and Ann Herndon. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Herndon and Wallace Lee Herndon, and her sister Barbara Lambert. Martha was an admired and loved mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister. After graduating from Liberty High School she moved to Houston to attend secretarial school. She enjoyed many years at Brown & Root and a Houston accounting firm before her retirement in 1998. Martha is survived by her children David Y. Dillard and wife Sarah, Jolisa D. Johnston and husband Joe, sister Jean Baughman, her grandchildren Melissa Mingst, Joshua Compis, Ryan Dillard and Jared Johnston, and many loving nieces and nephews. The love and happiness she brought to her family and friends will be dearly missed. A personal memorial service will be held at a later date.
