Obituary of Gaylynn Jones Smith

Gaylynn Jones Smith January 23, 2014 Gaylynn “Nikki” Nicole Jones Smith, 23,born December 26, 1990 in Channelview, Texas passed away on January 23rd, 2014. She is survived by her two sons Ethan Wayne Smith and Wyatt Benjamin Smith, parents Lori and Britt Taylor, Jason and Bobbie Beevers, sisters Brittany Taylor, Isabelle Taylor, grandparents Richard and Linda Davis, Gordon Taylor and other extended family and many close friends. Pallbearers will be Allen Ferguson, Ryon Remmers, Cris Davis, Austin Davis, Dwayne Foster and Dustin Foster. Nikki graduated from Goliad High School in Goliad, Texas in 2009 and attended Mary Hardin Baylor University. Her sons were the most important part of her life, making sure time was spent with all extended family as much as possible. She was an outdoor girl enjoying deer hunting, fishing, golf, horseback riding, hiking, etc. Her plan was that her boys would grow up with that same love for the outdoors. She always had a smile and a hug for everyone and was loved by all. She always loved children and ministered to them through mission trips to The Dominican Republic, Tennessee, Alabama and others while in high school, as well as working in after school programs while attending UMHB. Visitation will be on Friday February 7th from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Paul U. Lee Funeral Home 201 S. 3rd St. La Porte, Texas. Services will be held at Bayshore Baptist Church 11315 Spencer Hwy. La Porte, Texas on Saturday February 8th 11:00AM with Mark Redd officiating, burial following at La Porte Cemetery.
