Lester Kendall was born in Leon, Kansas on November 25, 1925. He joined the eternal church above on January 4, 2009. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Alice Cox Kendall. He is survived by his brother Robert Kendall and wife Ruby, of Conroe, his sister Betty McNiel of Hallsville, son Rev. Lester R. Kendall Jr. and wife Carla of Nacogdoches, daughter Kathy Kendall Womack and husband Rev. Jack Womack of Pasadena. He leaves behind five grandchildren Tony Moore and wife Jennifer, Micah Kendall and wife Lisa, Cristy Lovel and husband Greg, Lesly Kendall-Perez and husband Said, and Alicia Kendall, and 4 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Lester worked for Superior Oil Company in Venezuela and then served as a contract electrician for Exxon and later for Merit Oil Company of Tomball. He was active in the Masonic Lodge in Conroe and then at Pine Hill Masonic Lodge, A.F. and A.M. #95, and the order of the Eastern Star near Henderson. He served as Worshipful Master of the Lodge and Worthy Patron of his chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 6, 2009 at 6-9 PM at the Golden Acres United Methodist Church, 2838 Lily, Pasadena, TX 77503. A graveside service will be held Wednesday January 7, 2009 at 10 AM at Oakwood Cemetery in Conroe, TX. In lieu of usual remembrances donations may be made to Aztec Rescue Inc., P.O.
