Doris Lynn Knighton September 01, 1919 - June 19, 2013 Doris Lynn Knighton, age 93, died on June 19, 2013, at her home in Baytown, Texas. She is known for her unwavering faith in God and was a true servant of God by faithfully giving to others. She was a member of Fields of Harvest Church and will be remembered for her compassion and encouraging words. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her life was lived to the fullest. Everything she did was to glorify God. Doris was born on September 1, 1919. She is preceded in death by her parents, Medford and Allie Dickerson; her husband, Leonard Knighton; her two sisters, Dixie Dickerson and Vergie Barger; and her two brothers, Perry Dickerson and Tracey Dickerson. Doris is survived by her sister, Fonda and husband Kenneth Epperson of Old River; sister-in-laws Jo Dickerson of Mont Belvieu and Joyce Dickerson of Colorado; her two daughters, Barbara Fahr of Baytown and June Luprete of Mont Belvieu; her grandchildren, Perry Latiolas of Baytown, Len and wife Bekki Bishop of Baytown, Tony and wife Stacie Luprete of Katy, and Deanna Luprete of Clear Lake; her great-grandchildren, Alyssa Luprete of Houston, Tyler Riley of Baytown, Macy Smith of Clear Lake, Allie Faith Bishop of Baytown, and GraceAnn Bishop of Baytown. Family will receive friends on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Paul U. Lee Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Paul U. Lee Funeral Home, La Porte, Texas with Pastor David Cochran officiating on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Morgan’s Point Cemetery in Morgan’s Point, TX. Serving as pallbearers will be Martin P. Serrano, Leo Garza, Ray Marrujo, Martin Serrano, Sr., Randy Holman, Jr.,. and Louis Pina. Arrangements are under the direction of Kenneth Adams.
