Obituary of Charles Davis

Charles Owen Davis, age 78 of Pearland, passed away on April 7, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents, Owen & Mamie Davis. He is survived by his wife, Cecila (Molina) Davis; sons, Benjamin Davis & his wife Andrea, and Patrick Simmons & his wife Cathy; daughters, Duyen Barrientos & her husband Santiago, and Susannah Munro & her husband Mose; grandchildren, Megan, Aaron, Cole, Jared, Alexa, Daniel, and Sophia; and great-grandchild, Brooklyn. Charles was born on August 26, 1931 in Waelder, Texas but spent most of his life in Houston and Pearland. He was a successful business owner for most of his life managing washaterias, restaurants, and rental houses. Charles and Cecila were married for 45 years and would often travel back to Columbia to visit family. There was nothing more important to him than family and he was close with all of his children and grandchildren. Charles had a witty sense of humor and always enjoyed hearing a good story as well as telling one. A Memorial Service for Charles will be held on Monday, April 12, 2010 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 6502 County Road 48, Manvel, Texas 77578, 281-489-8720.
