Richard Mit Posey February 11, 1969 - August 05, 2016 Services for Richard Mit Posey, 47, of Old River-Winfree, TX will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Paul U Lee Funeral Home, 201 W 3rd St, La Porte, TX 77571, 281-471-0123 with visitation at 11AM and service to follow at 12PM. Richard passed away August 5, 2016, surrounded by his family, at MD Anderson Hospital following a “helluva” battle with cancer. Richard was the Vice-President of a successful tree business, a “storm chaser” who enjoyed helping people in times of disaster. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Gina, parents Lora Posey, Gene and Fredna Posey. Children Michael and wife Sonya, Dano and wife Chasity, and 11 grandchildren. Brother Glenn and wife Theresa; brother Kirk; and Sister April; all of Old River. Sister Stephanie Losoya; Brother Bryan Mitchell. Numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and wonderful friends. He was the best “Papaw” ever. Richard enjoyed life to the fullest and always with a smile on his face. He enjoyed traveling around the states, working with his family, never meeting a stranger. Richard will always be loved and missed by all that knew him.
