“Dave loved family.” Nothing truer than that. He made “distant relatives” feel like close-knit family. If there was a gathering of any sort... he’d be there. Cousin Dave was about the sweetest man I’ve ever known and I miss him already. Love, Jay

Whenever I hear music from the 1960’s, I will be reminded of Dave. I know he loved the music from that time period.

I just heard about Dave’s passing. He will truly be missed. He was my mentor for many years during the 80’s and remained friends through all these years. As I reflect back, he always had faith in me and what I
Could accomplish. A great man and friend - I will miss him.

Part of my heart has gone with Dave. From 6th grade through high school he was the 'bestest' friend I had. We shared secrets, confidences and his family was my second family. He went to college and I went into the Navy, but whether we saw each other every 5 months or five years, it all seemed like yesterday. His loss can't be described but our memories will always survive. Strength and condolences to Cindy and his family. God Bless...

I have such great memories of my Uncle Dave. My parents (my Mom is sisters with Cindy) would take us to Texas each year to see our family. I couldn't hardly wait to go. Uncle Dave was so much fun, very kind, very caring, and let us run around his house like banshees! I picked up my love for toasted peanut butter and jelly from him! I will miss him greatly!

I'm deeply sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you. When going through the loss of my father, a scripture that brought me comfort is Isa. 41:10. There God implores us to not be anxious because he is with us and lovingly assures us " I will really hold on to you with my right hand." May the God of all comfort be with you at
this difficult time. ( 2 Cor. 1:3,4 )

Memories stem over a 26-year time frame.
What a pleasant person and patient person he was.
Tried to teach me to ski in Colorado Rockies.
Shared a many of pizza’s With him and Cindy.
Dave, loved life in general. Worked hard, played hard enjoying old model cars and oldies music.
The Beach Boys come to my mind.
It was an honor to have known him!

This is such a silly memory, but I always think fondly of him teaching me the Texas two-step when I visited Houston when I was 16. I reminded him of it when he was up in Springfield visiting my dad, and he laughed. Love to the family.

Anyone who knew Dave and his wife, Cindy, were blessed with a richer life. Dave was not only a true friend but also, a mentor offering sage advice or support whenever needed. Dave was courageous during his long battle with cancer and will always be remembered for his soft easy smile and generous nature. Dave will always hold a special place in our hearts and we will miss him terribly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during these most difficult times.

I am so sorry for your loss. The scriptures point to a time in the near future when God will rescue those who have died from the grave. “From the power of the Grave I will redeem them; From death I will recover them. Where are your stings, O Death? Where is your destructiveness, O Grave? Compassion will be concealed from my eyes.” (Hosea 13:14) God will bring those who have died back to life, and he will destroy death. No more will we deal with the stings of death. Rather, all living will have the prospect of living forever in paradise on earth. May this hope for the future comfort your grieving hearts.

I had the privilege of working with Dave for about 6 years. Dave was one of the most honest and passionate men I have ever known. His quiet manner endeared him to everyone he met. He was always willing to lend a hand if needed. Nothing was more important to him than his family and I was fortunate enough to witness the love they had for him on more than one occasion. Kim and I send our deepest condolences to Cindy, Jaime, Kim and the rest of Dave's family. He will be missed greatly.
