Obituary of Max Ray Mills

Max Ray Mills, 86, went to his Heavenly home, to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, October 24, 2018.  Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 65 years, Mildred, daughter, Susan and husband, Herb Wesson, son, David and wife, Claudia; and daughter, Julie Mills; grandchildren, Claudia Rae Wilson, Melissa Rae Shanks, Ronie Rae Mills; great grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, Hunter, Henry and Isabella; and a host of other family and dear friends.   He is preceded in death by his parents. Benjamin and Opal Bradley; brother, Sam Jack Mills; and sisters, Doris Jean Robinson and Naomi Salmon. 

 

Max was strong in his Christian faith and a Godly man.  He was a man of few words and had a humble demeanor.  Max was a computer systems engineer for NASA, at Johnson Space Center, for 35 years.   He enjoyed car racing, drag racing, learning, Blue Bell ice cream and watching the Houston Astros.   Max enjoyed pursuing learning and gaining knowledge.  He received his Bachelors of Electrical Engineering from University of Houston in 1963 and his Masters of Science in Accounting at University of Houston Clear Lake in 1985.   He became a CPA following his degree in Accounting.   Max will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

Services for Max will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The visitation will take place Monday, October 29, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.  The funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 10:30 am in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Rex Forsyth officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
