Obituary of Albert Otto Schulze
Albert Otto Schulze, 88 passed away Friday, December 14, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ida Schulze; siblings, Henry D. Schulze, Isabel H. Schulze, Clinton L. Schulze, Lula M. Braden, and Robert L. Schulze. Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Elsie Harrelson Schulze; sons, James Schulze and wife, Donna, Dale Schulze and wife, Valerie; sisters, Gladys V. McKissick, Annie Ruth Knowlton, and Charlotte L. Koch; grandchildren, James, Jennifer, Lauren and Heather; great grandchildren, Isabel, Elle, Stella, Otto and Autumn; and a host of other family and dear friends.
We are so thankful and blessed for those qualities which made Albert the special man he was; for his Christian faith and the perseverance he exhibited in good times and in bad, his loving devotion to his beloved bride Elsie of 67 years, his caring and loving nature towards his precious family and friends, and for his traits of patience, gentleness and kindness beyond measure displayed throughout his life on earth. Lord God, we remember with gratitude the things Albert loved to do in his 88 years of productive life. He served faithfully for years as the Financial Secretary at Epiphany Lutheran Church – Pearland and spent four years actively serving our country in the US Air Force as a Finance Specialist. Albert lovingly bottle-fed calves to build a herd and was an active and productive gardener. He was persevering to purchase, crack, and peel up to 150 pounds of pecans at year end and kindly share the fruits of his labors. Throughout the years, it was his great joy to present a scramble calf on behalf of Bud Adams Ranches at each Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo to many deserving young men and women. Albert always managed to be a good steward of his time, treasure and talents. In addition to these solemn and serious involvements, he found time to get excited over the Houston Oilers, the Tennessee Titans, the Houston Texans and his shared admiration for the Houston Astros… Just as his dear Mother Ida did. Albert made time and funds available to travel the world with his dear wife Elsie and numerous family members, young and old. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Albert Schulze Memorial Fund at Epiphany Lutheran Church – Pearland.
